Written by Steve Leff (TV’s Two and a Half Men), Doc & Howie centers on two slackers who refuse to help an elderly woman carry her groceries up a flight of stairs. That leads to them accidentally killing her, but while they panic about the repercussions, the incident allows them to meet the dead women’s sexy granddaughters.

Production is likely to get underway in the new year.

As well as signing on to direct Doc & Howie, Wernick and Reese have also written scripts for Deadpool, the GI Joe sequel and sold a sci-fi spec called Earth vs. Moon.
