Debuting out in Toronto back in September 2011, Adam Wingard’s anticipated horror movie, You’re Next, is finally on the cusp of release in the US and UK this month.
The slew of awards in its armoury – which include Best Director, Best Film, Best Actress, and Best Screenplay in the Horror category at Fantastic Fest two years back – really speaks for itself. And if you’ve seen the trailer, then fans of the genre will know this should be one to look forward to.

Wingard (V/H/S, The ABCs of Death) reunites with frequent collaborator Simon Barrett (V/H/S, The ABCs of Death), directing from a script Barrett wrote.
You’re Next will be released in the US on August 23rd, ever so slightly ahead of its UK release on 28th August, with the film selected as the Opening Night Film for this year’s FrightFest on 22nd August.
