The Oscars are fast approaching and as each subsequent awards show proves, the winner of the Best Picture Category at the main event is far from certain. The 2013 nominees include Les Miserables and Zero Dark Thirty going up against Argo, The Life of Pi, and Lincoln.
Lincoln has paved the way in terms of nomination as it picked up 12, including Best Director for Steven Spielberg and Best Actor for Daniel Day-Lewis. Ang Lee’s Life of Pi followed close behind with 11 nominations, while Les Miserables and Silver Linings Playbook were tied for third place with 8 nominations each. Again, the winner of each of those categories is far from certain.
