Welcome-to-the-Punch-Quad-PosterIn the past few weeks, Eren Creevy’s Welcome to the Punch has emerged as a very promising British film coming our way this year, with an excellent first trailer debuting before Christmas.

Earlier in the week, we saw the first poster for the film, and now the quad poster variant has surfaced online, giving us a similar look at leading men James McAvoy and Mark Strong, with some interesting artwork spliced between them.

“Ex-criminal Jacob Sternwood (Mark Strong) is forced to return to London when his son is involved in a heist gone wrong. This gives his nemesis, detective Max Lewinsky (James McAvoy), one last chance to catch the man he’s always been after.”

Andrea Riseborough – who has just been nominated in the BAFTA Rising Star Award category – completes the leading cast, alongside David Morrissey, Elyes Gabel, Peter Mullan, Daniel Mays, and Steve Oram.

The BAFTA-nominated Creevy (Shifty) is once more directing from his own script, with Ridley Scott serving as executive producer.

Welcome to the Punch has its UK and US release date set for 15th March, and it looks like this is going to be one to watch this spring. For now, here’s the latest poster, which you can click through to enlarge.

Since graduating, I spend as much time as possible watching films/TV shows, reading books, and listening to music. So getting to write about what I love is nothing short of awesome. Biggest film-related hope for 2014/ever: Guy Ritchie announcing the RocknRolla sequel is finally moving forward.
