Walk-of-Shame-Poster-sliceHaving been absent from our screens for a little while now in a leading comedy role, comedienne Elizabeth Banks is about to make her return to centre stage this spring in the R-rated comedy, Walk of Shame.

The first trailer is set to debut online this Wednesday, and Focus World has launched the first poster to whet your appetite over on Yahoo Movies.

After losing an audition for her dream job, an aspiring Los Angeles TV news anchor goes out for an uncharacteristic night of partying. She awakes in a stranger’s bed to a phone message from her agent telling her the job is hers, if she can make it across town by 5 pm. Stranded in an unknown area without money, a phone, and a car, she embarks on a series of misadventures as she races to the most important job interview of her life.

James Marsden takes the male lead opposite Banks, with Gillian Jacobs and Sarah Wright Olsen completing the ensemble.

Steven Brill (Little Nicky, Mr. Deeds) is behind the camera, directing from his own script, with Sidney Kimmel counted amongst the films producers, through his Sidney Kimmel Entertainment shingle.

Walk of Shame will be released in the US on April 25th. The synopsis has a kind of The Hangover feel to it, and with Banks bringing a female lead to the role instead of a leading male trio, I’m definitely on board. Here’s to hoping that Wednesday’s trailer will pique our interest that much more.
