After getting eight new images and a new clip from action-thriller The Cold Light of Day yesterday, Entertainment One UK have sent over two fast-paced action-fuelled clips for us to share with you showcasing Henry Cavill’s brute strength and resourcefulness in the lead.

We last saw Cavill in Tarsem Singh’s Immortals, which took more than $200m. at the international box office, and with The Cold Light of Day and Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel as the actor’s next two leading roles, he’s clearly cementing himself as a rising action star/hero.

Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver star alongside Cavill, with Mabrouk El Mechri taking the helm, directing from a script co-written by Scott Wiper and John Petro.

“In 24hrs Will Shaw’s family will be dead.

Armed with a gun, but no information, distraught, confused and alone in an unfamiliar city, Will (HENRY CAVILL) is forced to piece together the puzzle of his missing family.

Unwittingly embroiled in a Government conspiracy with agents from all sides hot on his tail, an unrelenting chase across the streets of Madrid intensifies and Will is forced to question everything he has ever known in order to stay alive long enough to rescue his family… but is there anyone left he can trust?

Starring super British talent HENRY CAVILL (Immortals) alongside Hollywood action legends BRUCE WILLIS (Die Hard) and SIGOURNEY WEAVER (Avatar), THE COLD LIGHT OF DAY is an adrenaline fuelled action thriller from director MABROUK EL MECHRI.”

If you’re reading this in the US, you’ll have a little while longer to wait, with the film’s release date now scheduled for 7th September. But on the bright side, that means you’ll be getting a healthy few doses of Bruce Willis in the space of about a month, with The Expendables 2 and Looper both hitting in August and September as well.

The Cold Light of Day will be released in UK cinemas next Friday, 6th April, which will see it go head-to-head in its genre with Jo Nesbø’s Headhunters. If you’re a fan of the action-thriller on the big screen, you might well want to set aside next Friday night for a double-bill and watch them both back-to-back. Here are the two new clips to whet your appetite for seeing Cavill’s strengths in The Cold Light of Day.
