You may not know his name but if you grew up in the 80s and 90s or are a fan of movie posters you know the work of Drew Struzan and a new documentary entitled Drew: The Man Behind the Poster aims to spread the good word on this artist.
His artwork has become synonymous with some of the most enduring classics of popular cinema and as you’ll see from the new trailer, released a few days ago at Comic-Con, actors and filmmakers are happy to push this artist to the spotlight.
Certainly his illustrations are among the most iconic pieces of movie marketing and this new documentary aims to reveal the man as well as offer us the opportunity to see him at work. Filmmakers Greg Boas, Charles Ricciardi and Erik P. Sharkey have assembled a pretty incredible lineup of interviewees to discuss the artist, with Michael J. Fox, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Guillermo del Toro among featured.
