Of the many blockbusters coming our way this summer, James Mangold’s The Wolverine is definitely one of the few I’m looking forward to most.

I have so much love for Hugh Jackman’s take on the character, and can’t wait to see him front and centre in the film next month, reprising the iconic character. Jackman is to Logan what Robert Downey, Jr. is to Tony Stark.

The latest trailer landed last month, giving us a great new look at the film. And now a new international trailer has surfaced online, via CBM, along with Fox releasing the first TV spot for our shores.

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.

Jackman is joined by an excellent supporting cast, led by Hiroyuki Sanada, Rila Fukushima, Tao Okamoto, Will Yun Lee, Hal Yamanouchi, Brian Tee, and Svetlana Khodchenkova.

Mangold (3:10 to Yuma) is directing from a script co-written by Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) and Mark Bomback (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes).

And Jackman is producing alongside Hutch Parker, John Palermo (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Drive), and Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men, Constantine).

The Wolverine will be released in 3D on 25th July in the UK, with its US release date set for the following day on July 26th. I can’t wait.
