Leonardo-DiCaprio-in-The-Wolf-of-Wall-StreetMartin Scorsese has been working tirelessly in recent weeks to ensure that his anticipated The Wolf of Wall Street will be ready in time for the year’s end.

Paramount has so much faith in the film – and its abilities to perform at the Oscars – that they pushed Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit back from its original slot next month to January, often viewed as something of a dumping ground month for the industry.

It’s no surprise, really, given that Scorsese’s last effort, Hugo, won five Oscars, and had a further six nominations. And with The Wolf of Wall Street’s new release date now just over a month away, the studio has released the first clip over on Yahoo Movies.

Leonardo DiCaprio reunites with Scorsese once more, and he is joined by an incredibly promising cast, led by Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, Jon Bernthal, Jean Dujardin, Jon Favreau, Kyle Chandler, Margot Robbie, Cristin Milioti, Rob Reiner, and Spike Jonze.

Scorsese is directing from a script penned by past collaborator Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos), based on the memoir of the same name by Jordan Belfort.

The Wolf of Wall Street will be released in the  US on Christmas Day, before heading across the Atlantic a few weeks later on 17th January.
