The-Internship-PosterThe Internship sees Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson back on the big screen together for the first time since 2005’s Wedding Crashers, and I can’t wait for it to hit. In the US, its arrival is coming very soon, landing in cinemas this Friday. And its UK release fortunately isn’t too far behind.

After recently catching a great new clip from the movie, in which Vaughn and Wilson give a rousing half-time speech during a failing Quidditch match, Fox have released a new TV spot, giving us a thirty-second snapshot of what promises to be one of the funniest films of the summer.

Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) are salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital world. Trying to prove they are not obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google, along with a battalion of brilliant college students. But, gaining entrance to this utopia is only half the battle. Now they must compete with a group of the nation’s most elite, tech-savvy geniuses to prove that necessity really is the mother of re-invention.

Vaughn and Wilson star alongside a terrific cast, led by Josh Gad, Rose Byrne, Max Minghella, Dylan O’Brien, Jessica Szohr, Joanna García, B.J. Novak, Aasif Mandvi, and John Goodman.

Shawn Levy (Real Steel) is directing from a script Vaughn co-wrote with Jared Stern (The Watch), based on his own original story, with Levy and Vaughn reteaming here as well after working together on last summer’s The Watch.

The Internship will be released in the US this Friday, June 7th. And its UK release is set for a few weeks down the line on 4th July, which is definitely a release date I’ve got committed to memory, because this is guaranteed to be awesome.
