McTavish will of course be reprising his role once more this year, returning as Dwalin in December’s The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and will be closing out the trilogy as part of the brilliant ensemble at the end of next year in The Hobbit: There and Back Again.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Extended Edition is available now on iTunes, and will be released in the UK on DVD and Blu-ray 3D (both including a UV copy) on 11th November.
