Following the somewhat negative critical response to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, the franchise was in desperate need of a shaking up, and where better to look than self-proclaimed fanboy Jon M. Chu, as the director of two entries of the Step Up series returns with his very first action flick, as the man behind G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
Coming to our cinemas on March 27th, G.I. Joe: Retaliation is far more a reboot that your typical sequel, and we ask Chu about the differences with his offering compared to what came before. We also discuss working alongside the likes of Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis, and his own personal passion for the comic books and toys that this entire movie is based upon.
