The-Heat-Quad-PosterFollowing the brilliant success of his 2011 comedy, Bridesmaids, which was nominated for two Oscars, Paul Feig returns to the big screen this summer with The Heat.

The crime-comedy sees Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy starring in the leading roles, with Feig reuniting with McCarthy, who earned of the two Oscar nods for Bridesmaids. And after catching a new clip and two UK posters for the film last week, Fox have released another new clip, this time rather red-band in nature, so unsuitable viewing for work.

Uptight and straight-laced, FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is a methodical investigator with a reputation for excellence–and hyper-arrogance. Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy), one of Boston P.D.’s “finest,” is foul-mouthed and has a very short fuse, and uses her gut instinct and street smarts to catch the most elusive criminals. Neither has ever had a partner, or a friend for that matter. When these two wildly incompatible law officers join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected: buddies.

Michael Rapaport, Demián Bichir, Nathan Corddry , Marlon Wayans, Kaitlin Olson, Taran Killam, Andy Buckley, and Tony Hale lead a great ensemble alongside the leading duo.

Feig is directing from a script by Katie Dippold (MADtv, Parks and Recreation), with The Heat marking her feature debut as a writer.

The Heat will be released in two weeks in the US on June 28th, with its UK release date following at the end of next month on 31st July. For now, here’s the latest clip from the comedy. And remember, it’s a red-band clip, so not to be watched at work.
