We’re already two trailers into Wes Anderson’s highly anticipated The Grand Budapest Hotel, and our interest is very much piqued.
The acclaimed writer-director returns to the big screen this spring for his Moonrise Kingdom follow-up, and with little more than two months to go before its arrival, Fox Searchlight has launched the great first clip over on Apple.
THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL recounts the adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune—all against the backdrop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent.
Ralph Fiennes leads the cast as M. Gustave, joined (in alphabetical order) by F. Murray Abraham, Mathieu Amalric, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Jude Law, Harvey Keitel, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Saoirse Ronan, Léa Seydoux, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton, Tom Wilkinson, and Owen Wilson, and introducing Tony Revolori.
Anderson directs from his own script, and he’s also producing with Jeremy Dawson, Steven M. Rales, and Scott Rudin.
The Grand Budapest Hotel will be released on March 7th in the US and UK, a date which most definitely cannot come fast enough.
