The WWII-set drama is set to arrive in US cinemas this autumn/fall, ahead of its release in the UK early next year.

Nélisse, who made her debut in the Oscar-nominated Monsieur Lazhar, stars alongside Geoffrey Rush, Emily Watson, Ben Schnetzer, Nico Liersch, Joachim Paul Assböck, Sandra Nedeleff, and Hildegard Schroedter.
Emmy Award-winning director Brian Percival (Downton Abbey) makes his sophomore feature in the director’s chair, with Michael Petroni (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader) adapting Markus Zusak’s original bestselling novel of the same name.
The Book Thief will be released in the US on November 15th, with its UK release date set for 31st January, 2014. For now, here’s the UK variant of the first poster (with the US version simply replacing ‘January’ for ‘November’).
