This month marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Reservoir Dogs, the film with which Quentin Tarantino made his directorial debut, and the rest, as they say, is history.

He’ll soon be bringing us his latest feature, Django Unchained, this December, but before that reaches the big screen, a rather neat looking eight-film Blu-ray collection is set to be released next month, and Yahoo Movies have debuted the trailer for it.

Included in the collection, Tarantino XX, in chronological order, will be:

Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vols. I and II, Death Proof, and Inglourious Basterds.

“Tarantino XX contains eight films chosen by Tarantino to illustrate the first 20 years of his career, featuring the films that helped define his early success, including Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol. 1, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds. To complete the stunning high definition 10-disc set, the Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection also features two discs with five hours of all-new bonus material, highlighted by a critics’ retrospective on Tarantino’s groundbreaking catalog of films and “20 Years of Filmmaking” that contains interviews with critics, stars and other masters of cinema.”

Of course, the astute amongst you will recognise that True Romance isn’t a film that Tarantino directed, but rather a film helmed by the late Tony Scott. But given that the film is both incredible and iconic, not to mention the influence it’s had over the years, it’s nice to see it as part of the collection here.

Tarantino XX will be released on Blu-ray just in time for Christmas, arriving in the US on 20th November, followed by a UK release on 26th November. And following hot on its heels will be Tarantino’s latest, Django Unchained, which will be released on Christmas Day in the US, followed by 18th January, 2013 here in the UK. Whilst we wait, here’s the new trailer to get us ready for all we have coming our way soon. Enjoy.
