Following the tradition of all huge animated blockbusters there’s a fairly outstanding cast lending their larynxes to Tom McGrath’s movie, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill and the maniacal Megamind himself, Will Ferrell.

Here’s the trailer for the film which debuted last month and embedded below is the four minutes from San Diego.

It’ll be the third time Streep and Tucci have collaborated following The Devil Wears Prada and Julie & Julia.

Mommy & Me, if it happens, will be directed by Stanley Tucci, with Meryl Streep in the lead role, and none other than Tina Fey (Baby Mama) co-starring. We’re assuming that Tucci will also step in front of the camera, as he has done in his previous films as director, which began with Big Night in 1996.

Sony Pictures are currently the frontrunner to pick up the rights, with Stanley Tucci’s company Olive Productions set to produce

Sounds very promising indeed.

30 Rock is set behind the scenes of a SNL type comedy show and weekly deals up a surreal slice of hilarity, taking the backstabbing world of corporate nonsense and mixing it with the skewed world of celebrity as Fey, Tracey Morgan and Alec Baldwin fire off the brilliant dialogue.

That is beat out the ostensibly similar Aaron Sorkin show Studio 60 in the ratings is testament to it’s appeal and with a fourth season just finished now is the perfect time to catch up with the Labours of Liz Lemon.

Jonah Hill has been a busy boy with his animations recently after appearing in the Dreamworks movie, How to Train Your Dragon (out 31st March) and Megamind too comes from the studio who brought us Shrek. If this movie is as good as both those 2 previous, then we’re in for a treat!

Following the images from the Ricky Gervais comedy Cemetary Junction we posted earlier we have been presented with a still from the forthcoming Tina Fey and Steve Carrell rom-com Date Night.

With the cast this film has it should be a lot funnier than other, more pitiful, attempts at rom-comming we’ve seen recently. The calibre of Fey and Carrell is undisputed and their respective US shows should provide a wide audience for this film.
