A while back we reported on the news that Steven Spielberg is going to make a movie based on War Horse which is currently playing on stage in London’s West End. Empire have just announced the casting lineup for the movie and the Brits have done very well!

According to the site the casting lineup currently includes, Emily Watson, Peter Mullan, David Thewlis, Benedict Cumberbatch, Niels Arestrup, Nicolas Bro, David Kross, Leonard Carow, Rainer Bock, Robert Emms, Patrick Kennedy, Tom Hiddleston and Stephen Graham who we recently announced has been cast in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. He’s doing well at the moment!

War Horse focuses around a farm horse named Joey who is sold to the British Army do work on the battlefields in France during the First Word War.

War Horse is based on the book by Michael Morpurgo and is scheduled for release August 10th, 2011.

The White Ribbon is directed by Michael Haneke’s and stars Susanne Lothar, Ulrich Tukur, Theo Trebs, Michael Schenk, Leonie Benesch, Josef Bierbichler, Rainer Bock, Christian Friedel, Burghart Klaussner, Steffi Kuhnert and Ursina Lardi.

Set in a village in northern Germany on the eve of World War I, this is the mysterious story of the children in a school choir and their families. Who is behind the series of strange accidents that befall them?

I’m expecting this movie to only be on in a few cinemas which always seems the same with foreign movies but I encourage your to seek it out. We can expect to see it 13th November.
