In the past few months, we’ve seen some lovely things from Tarsem Singh’s upcoming Snow White film, Mirror Mirror, most recently including a new international trailer and two international posters of Snow White herself and her Prince Charming.

We’ve now got the first TV spot for the film to share with you, via ComingSoon.net, as well as a beautiful and colourful new poster of Snow White, Prince Charming, the Evil Queen, and the seven dwarfs.

Mirror Mirror is scheduled to be released here in the UK on 16^th March, before heading over to US cinemas on 30^th March, as this TV spot promotes, so it’s only a little more than a month before the light-hearted, family-friendly film hits the big screen. The film is set to be released here in the UK on 16^th March, so it’s just a matter of weeks until it comes to cinemas on our shores, before then heading to the States on 30^th March.

To mark the release of Abduction starring Taylor Lautner on DVD and Blu-ray 13th February, Lions Gate Home Entertainment have given three copies of the movie to give away on Blu-ray. Here’s a rather enchanting new trailer for Relativity Media’s new version of the Snow White story in their adaptation Mirror Mirror. A couple of days ago, we got to see a great behind the scenes featurette and today we’ve been given a nice new shiny trailer.

As I said in the previous post, this version is in a completely different tone to that of Snow White and the Huntsman and it feels much more like a fairy tale adaptation rather than a full on action movie that SWATH seems to be. Mirror Mirror is directed by Tarsem Singh and stars Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, Armie Hammer, Nathan Lane, Mare Winningham, Sean Bean, Michael Lerner. It’ll be with us 16th March.

Relativity Media have just released this lovely new featurette (which combines to form a new trailer) for their new movie, Mirror Mirror. I think it’s a lovely video collection really showing off the style that we can expect from this version of the Snow White story. Kristen Stewart’s Snow White and the Huntsman looks extremely different in style from the trailer‘s we’ve seen and now seeing this new featurette and the images that we saw a week or two ago, I’m really excited to see both versions.

Mirror Mirror stars Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, Armie Hammer, Nathan Lane, Martin Klebba, Sean Bean, is Directed by Tarsem Singh and will be with us March 16th.

Whilst the trailer looked to beat our cynicism into submission through the oddly suspicious tagline of “fall under the spell” I just couldn’t get on board with Tarsem Singh’s Mirror Mirror.

No matter how hard I try I can’t get excited about Panto anymore. It’s perfect for a bit of nostalgia and lovely when you’re a child at Christmas but now I’ve got all serious and boring I’m having none of it. But last time I checked I wasn’t a pre-pubescent girl so I guess that the film’s due a reappraisal.

Yes, 2012 sees not one but two whole adaptations of Snow White. But whilst Snow White and the Huntsman looks to involve a lot of stern Kristen Stewart facial expressions, Mirror Mirror looks like it’s going to smother us with big camp cuddles and luverly wuverly kisses. That, and attempt to gently nudge you into fits of light amusement.

When Snow White’s beauty wins the heart of the prince that she desperately pursues, the Queen banishes her to the forest, where a ravening man-eating beast hungrily awaits. Now it’s got a new poster and the trend looks to be continuing:

Lily Collins as Snow White is looking at her most wholesome and Julia Roberts is still laying on the PG rated evil with a trowel, but all that is fine by me. Instead of another post-Twilight fairytale (think Red Riding Hood) it’ll be fun to have a bunch of talented people throwing caution and dignity to the wind (think Armie Hammer under the influence of puppy love in the trailer).

So it may not be fashionable but it doesn’t want to be. Broad comedy gets a bad rap sometimes but I’m sure a lot of children will be looking forward to the ‘Snow White Legend’ to come alive in a much more joyous sense than it’s Huntsman featuring counterpart. Hell, come March 16^th I might even regress 10 years or so and trot on down to the cinema for some wholesome inoffensive family fun.

Just to clarify, I won’t. But it all sounds very cosy doesn’t it.

Just this morning, we got the latest from one of the two Snow White films set to come out next year, with great new artwork arising from Snow White and the Huntsman, starring Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, and Charlize Theron, due out next summer.

We now have news to bring you of the other project, which has already finished production under the direction of Tarsem Singh, whose latest film, Immortals, comes out at the end of this week.

Until now, it has long been without a title, referred to simply as Tarsem Singh’s Untitle Snow White Project. But Collider report that Relativity Media have announced it has finally found its title with an appropriately fairy-tale theme, and it will be called Mirror Mirror. In the press release announcing the title also comes a brief synopsis, which doesn’t give much away, but is still nice to read all the same:

“The newly titled film Mirror Mirror, stars breakout star Lily Collins (The Blind Side) as an exiled princess who enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright and Oscar®-winner Julia Roberts as an evil Queen who steals control of a kingdom, in a magical adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance, and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over.  The film also stars Armie Hammer (The Social Network) as the object of their affection, Prince Andrew Alcott, and Nathan Lane (The Birdcage) as the hapless and bungling servant to the Queen.”

Mirror Mirror is due out in the US on 16^th March next year, and though no release date has been announced in the UK yet, I’d be surprised if we’ll have long to wait, if at all, after the US gets it until we see it. Without Kristen Stewart’s Snow White and the Huntsman due in the summer, the studio will no doubt want to keep some distance between the two films’ release dates, which is fine by me, because it means we should get to see this sooner rather than later.

We’ve already had two sets of great images from the film, and it looks to have come out really well. The vision of the two films looks to be very different, so we can hope for two excellent and varied takes on the same Snow White tale in 2012. With a title now in place, we can no doubt look forward to the start of posters and trailers for Mirror Mirror surfacing in the coming months, so be sure to check back in to catch up on the latest from the fairy-tale story.

Just a couple of weeks ago, a dozen new images from Tarsem Singh’s upcoming as-yet-untitled Snow White film went online, and they gave us a pretty great look at what we can expect from the film when it comes out next year.

Half a dozen more images have now surfaced over at THR, and they give us another look at the cast all dressed up in their fantastic costumes.

It’s been five years since Singh’s last film, The Fall, and now he’s bringing us two films within a matter of months – Immortals is hitting cinemas next month, on 11th November, and this Snow White project is coming out in March next year. No doubt both will be very different films, but both will have elements of drama and fantasy common to them, for which Singh was very well received in The Fall.

Singh’s version of the Snow White tale is led by Lily Collins in the eponymous role, with a supporting cast that includes Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer, Sean Bean, and Nathan Lane. It’s set to hit cinemas in the US on 16th March next year, and we’ll likely be getting it around that time too, so we’ve got just five months to wait, almost to the day.

My personal pick of the bunch has to be the third, the shot of Collins rattling sabres with one of the dwarfs in the snow. She looks perfect for the part of Snow White in this film. At the end of last month, the first images from the set of one of the two upcoming Snow White adaptations were released, showing the leading lady, Kristen Stewart, both in and out of her armour for Snow White and the Huntsman.

We’ve now been treated to a lovely set of images, courtesy of Yahoo Movies and FilmoFilia, that give us a look at the other Snow White film due out next year, which currently remains untitled, directed by Tarsem Singh and led by Lily Collins.

We got our first look at Collins in the role of Snow White back in July, looking somewhat heavenly. These new images not only show more of Collins as lovely as ever, they also give us our first look at the Evil Queen (Julia Roberts), the Prince (Armie Hammer), and the seven dwarfs.

Singh’s adaptation for Relativity Media should be first out of the gate of the two projects, having finished principal photography, and is slated for a 16th March release in the States next year, and though a UK release remains unannounced, it’s probably a safe bet to say we’ll be getting it in the spring next year too.

Snow White and the Huntsman, on the other hand, will be coming out a little later on 1st June here in the UK, and will no doubt be a bit of an early-/pre-summer blockbuster, ahead of films like The Amazing Spider-Man, The Dark Knight Rises, The Bourne Legacy, and Pixar’s Brave, which all come out next summer too.

But getting back on topic: these new pictures from the as-yet-untitled Snow White film do look pretty great showing everyone off in their costumes, and this should be a great film to look forward to next year. Taylor Lautner is risen to the accolade of ‘Hollywood megastar’ after playing Jacob in the Twilight franchise and subsequently rocking to stardom.

The good news for Twihards is that there are still two more movies to look forward to but in the meantime Taylor has been a very busy man and has somehow found time to make this new movie, Abduction with Lionsgate which is out in UK cinemas now.

We got to catch up with him in a very swanky hotel in London earlier in the week and the interview is embedded below.

In the interview, we talk about how Taylor has adapted to becoming a leading man after working so closely with such a huge cast in the Twilight movies, we talk stunts and how they were carried out, how certain scenes in the movie were shot and we get a little insight into what you can expect when you go and see Abduction at the cinema.

Monday night in a very wet London held the European premiere of Abduction. It was absolutely pouring with rain but that didn’t stop the Twilight fans flocking their in their droves to get a glimpse of Taylor Lautner and his co-star in the movie, Lily Collins (daughter of singer Phil Collins) on the red carpet at the BFI.

Our friends from Upbeat were there to brave the rain and got interviews with both the young actors who told them what it was like filming the movie. We got to chat with Taylor at the junket on the same day and our interview will hopefully be going live tomorrow or Friday.

Lionsgate UK have sent over this new extended clip from their new movie, Abduction which stars Taylor Lautner and from what we can tell, he spends most the movie kicking the cr*p out of people! In this new extended, clip, you get to see him board a train and then proceed to kick said cr*p out of someone who is obviously out to get him – with his thighs!
