Hardened Battlstar Galactica fans were given a surprising answer to their request for an encore to their beloved series as creators Ronald D. Moore and David Eick turned back time to show how the troubles between the Twelve Colonies and their Cylon foe began.

The series Caprica tells the story of the rise of the Cylons and continues BSG’s high production values and we’ve got a look behind the scenes at the second half of the series which is out on DVD today.

The battle continues in the second part of this superb sci-fi drama as the story of how the murderous cylons came into existence continues to unfold. You might remember that we posted the five minutes of footage that Columbia Pictures released for 2012 a while ago. Well, they’ve now released that same footage in full HD. I’m talking full 1080p, 1920 *1200px resolution. So, for all those out there with a computer and the facility to hook it up to your hi def televisions, I highly recommend you do as it looks fantastic!!
