You thought it was over but no! Entertainment One have just sent us four brand new images from the wedding scene (and one from the honeymoon) in the latest Twilight movie, Twilight Breaking Dawn: Part 1 which stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson. The movie is out in the UK now and if you’re a Twihard and haven’t seen it, where the heck have you been?

With literally just hours to go until the first part of the finale to The Twilight Saga hits the big screen, as midnight showings roll out around the country, with huge box office receipts expected in the film’s opening weekend, we’ve got a new clip to share with you from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, courtesy of Yahoo Movies.

Though I’m personally still yet to see any of the first three Twilight films, the things we’ve been seeing for the beginning of the end have certainly been encouraging me to play a little catch-up, because it really does look like this is going to be good.

Along with Stewart, Pattinson, and Lautner, the film will also star Nikki Reed, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Billy Burke, Sarah Clarke, and the brilliant Michael Sheen, with Oscar-winning director Bill Condon (Kinsey, Dreamgirls) taking the helm for both parts of the final adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s original novels.

If you’re reading this, there’s probably every chance that you know a lot more about Twilight than me, so you’re undoubtedly already well aware of what to expect in this first part of Breaking Dawn. So with that in mind, I’ll leave you with the new clip, entitled ‘Hurt My Family’, to enjoy.

More Muppets today, with a well-timed jab to the ribs of The Twilight Saga in the midst of its global release week, and these new posters are just perfect.

With any other film there would be a distinct danger of oversatuaration but this campaign has been running for a long, long time (and thanks to a thoroughly irritating release delay for us chumps in the UK will run a little longer) and there hasn’t been a misstep along the way.

Every franchise or series The Muppets have targeted they have nailed perfectly, and while it’s not an exaggeration to offer up the equation that Anything + Muppets=awesome it’s still a sight to behold.

In the crazy world that we live it, it seems that there is now enough demand to release trailers for trailers, or at least for movies like The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1! Yahoo have released this 15 second clip from the trailer which is set to go live tomorrow night (Wednesday morning) at 1am GMT. We’ll obviously be staying awake to bring you the trailer when it hits but in the meantime, here’s a 15 second trailer for the trailer!

More Twilight goodness for you all today in the form of two posters, one with prenuptial smooching and the other with Werewolfy jealousy. If you’ve not already chosen your side then you’re leaving it a little late.

EOne have gone a little crazy today and posted two posters for the beginning of the end, as Part 1 invades cinemas on the 18th of November and while there’s probably not that many Twilighters who have yet to read the books some may still be wondering how things turn out. Shame then that the trailer appears to spoil some of the movie’s key moments.

Your favourites all return with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner comprising the particularly sharp love triangle and this film sees Kill List’s MyAnna Buring joining in the fun.

All through the marketing campaign for this film I kept my mind open and hopes relatively high. Catherine Hardwicke scolded those who noted the film’s apparent similarities to Twilight, something the trailers and posters played very heavily on, and yet I knew this was a sure fire way of getting people into the cinemas in order, I hoped, to spin us an entertaining yarn based on the enduring fairy tale.

Guess what happened?

It’s Twilight in a red cape with all the subtlety of a wolf bite to the arse, and the emotional complexity of a pantomime dame slipping on a banana skin. I hate reviewing very bad films, and genuinely try to find something positive but the only good note I had was that it looks great, pleasingly side-stepping the Burtonesque shorthand which passes for ‘dark fairy tale’ at the moment. The village and its surrounding landscape gives the right sense of heightened reality with the requisite feeling of isolation. However the film soon falls apart as Hardwicke populates it with a swag bag of clichés and paper thing characters; when Julie Christie and Gary Oldman cannot elevate a film you have problems.

It’s a shame too. Amanda Seyfried, when given more to do than choose between boys, is capable of bringing something complex and seductive to the screen. While Atom Egoyan’s Chloe did often step into a strange self-parodic parallel reality during its running time there were moments when the sexual politics of Seyfried’s titular character were given depth and weight. Not so here, with Wealthy Handsome Mr. Nice going up against   Swarthy Handsome (but Poor) Buck for her affections and those pesky Twilight comparisons are back in force . Couple this arid game of attraction with a lame Whodunnit element and you’ve missed the chance to bring a rendition of the fairy tale, with a far greater and complex exploration of female sexuality (which isn’t hard to imagine).

If the true story of how this film came to the screen ever gets told I wonder if Catherine Hardwicke’s original take differed greatly from what we ended up with. In this interview with our own Ben Mortimer she talks of her extensive research opposing the business of making a film and I wonder if her original intentions were stymied by a studio plumbing new depths of audience underestimation on the promise of another Tween friendly hit.

So, less Company of Wolves, more Company of Idiots. It’s an hour and forty minutes of Tell, Not Show with plot points marked out in huge audience friendly exposition. “Your Mother has what she wants…” Swarthy Handsome  Buck says to Amanda Seyfried, discussing her arranged nuptials to another, “Money,” he continues just in case we were left in any doubt of the black and white nature of the relationships on offer here. Some of the dialogue, no actually – most of the dialogue would have been laughed out of the South Chuffley Brownies’ annual revue for being too childish. Even Gary Oldman, who could belt out endless stanzas of McGonagall and imbue them with feeling and sincerity, is awash in the hysterical inanity of it all. His warrior preacher had, on paper, a decent stab at actual depth of character with a horrific incident in his past turning him onto his current werewolf-hunting path. Sad it is in the extreme then that he is forced to unveil himself like a pantomime villain drunk on theatrics and the burn of the spotlight.

I have no problem with a simple adaptation of the story, indeed the fact that it has been passed down through generations is precisely because it is so simple – with its instructive and instinctive cautionary tale a mainstay of childhood literature, but to make a dull affair is a waste. It’s so damn bloodless.

There is an alternative edit with a few ‘steamy’ scenes added in, and I watched this without having seen the film in its original form. It still wasn’t sexy. There’s also a ‘hidden’ extra in which Hardwicke appears to be auditioning an actor – I won’t spoil it save to say that if you’ve bought this Blu-ray then you deserve the punchline this little skit affords you.

Summit have treated us to some nice new images from the fourth movie in the Twilight franchise, which has the title, Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1.

These new pics are all from pre-wedding and the honeymoon where Bella and Edward head off to Brazil, ride a speedboat and make a baby. It’s all fun in the Vampire sun! We’re also treated to a brand new and extended synopsis which I’ve placed below. If you’ve read the books, you’ll know what it’s all about anyway!

Yippee!  Another new image from Twilight: Breaking Dawn has appeared and it shows Robert Pattinson topless and Kristen Stewart in a bikini! Calm down Twilight fans please, contain yourselves!! The image appears on the cover of Entertainment Weekly and I can assume it’s taken while they’re on their honeymoon. I guess some pap got them while they were in the lagoon!

Summit Entertainment / eOne have just sent us the footage that people at Comic Con got to see during yesterday’s Twilight: Breaking Dawn panel. This footage contains snippets from yesterdays panel at Comic Con and then has one on one interviews with all three of the main cast. If you missed it, you can have a watch of the trailer that was released earlier in the year. We also get to see fans lining up for the panel get surprised by Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Elizabeth Elizabeth Reaser, Booboo Stewart & Julia Jones who go out to pay a visit.

Director, Bill Condon and stars Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were all in attendance to big up the movie ahead of it’s release later this year. This video has interviews with all three of the main cast and splices in sections from the panel which took place yesterday. One question we have to ask though, what the heck is going on with Robert’s hair?!

Hall H went ballistic today for the first panel at the 2011 San Diego Comic Con not because it was anything to do with comic but because the Twilight: Breaking Dawn panel meant that Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson were in the house accompanied by their director, Bill Condon to talk about the fourth installment in the Stephanie Meyer franchise.
