In the interview, Gareth discusses how he shot the film, which elements were the most important when shooting, and how conventional film making rules have gone out the window since the dawn of HD camcorders.

The interview is pretty inspiring for those who are actually interested in making their own films since he only used a crew of “two people” and made the film for about $15,000. Not bad for a film that has been taking festivals by storm.

Below you will find the interview with Edwards along with a synopsis of Monsters located below it.

All eyes will be on the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden this Sunday as the winners are announced amidst a celebration of some truly amazing work in front of and behind the camera.

It has been a stellar year for British film and its stars, and a look at the Best British Film award nominees is evidence of the strength and variety of stories Britain produced last year.

Carey Mulligan and Colin Firth are the focus of Britain’s hopes in the Best Actor and Actress categories respectively, and we’ve got our fingers crossed for Duncan Jones’ Moon to take home a few awards.

This Sunday night HeyUGuys will be reporting live from the Red Carpet as the stars arrive and we’re very pleased to announce that we’ll be reporting from the ceremony itself, courtesy of BestBuy.co.uk.

It is an amazing opportunity to peep behind the Bafta curtain and along with the list of winners we’ll be reporting on how the night goes for the British and what the results mean for the Oscars.

Join us on the night, follow us on Twitter and look out for our exclusive posts on Monday!
