As you may have seen a couple of nights ago, our US cousins were given a very special treat with the news that Tron Night 2010 was going to be held in the US.

We felt rejected as all that we got was a big coming soon banner with not a lot of other information. But fear not Tron Legacy lovers for we bring good news!

Disney have just let us know that a similar event will be held in the UK. The date for the event will be the 28th of October and we too will get to see the 20+ minutes of footage from the new movie which sees Jeff Bridges return as Kevin Flynn alongside co-stars which include Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain, Beau Garrett and Michael Sheen.

The event will take place in selected 3D and IMAX cinemas and you can head on over to the Disney Screening website and enter the codeword Legacy to get your tickets. But it’s first come, first served so get clicking!

Tron: Legacy is scheduled for release 17th December, directed by Joseph Kosinski and the anticipation is building with every passing day!

While our editor Dave is reeling excitedly from a whole day with the Tron: Legacy team Disney have confirmed when we can expect to see the much anticipated Daft Punk score in stores, virtual or otherwise.

As well as speaking to the cast and crew of Tron: Legacy Dave got to hear some of the music and score and tells me it’s as good as you’d expect and you only have another couple of months until you can enjoy the score in its entirety.

Here are the main points of the release from Disney:

The highly anticipated original motion picture score for TRON: Legacy, composed and produced by the iconic and critically acclaimed Grammy® Award–winning French duo Daft Punk, will be released by Walt Disney Records on Monday, November 22, 2010. Presented in Disney Digital 3D™, Walt Disney Pictures’ “TRON: Legacy” hits U.S. theaters on December 17, 2010, in Disney Digital 3D™ and IMAX® 3D.

Having grown up with admiration of Disney’s groundbreaking original 1982 film TRON, Daft Punk took on the scoring of the next chapter of the story with extraordinary thought and precision. The duo assembled a symphony of one hundred world class musicians in London and recorded the orchestra at AIR Lyndhurst Studios, Britain’s premier scoring facility.

We understand that director Joe Kosinski was over in London last week to oversee (or just enjoy) the recording of the score and he and his team will be traveling to Skywalker Ranch very soon to mix the film in advance of its rapidly approaching release date of December the 17th.

Another Tron: Legacy banner made its way out into the wild today with Disney releasing the third in the set of banners, this time with Jeff Bridges taking centre stage.

Previously we’ve seen this style of banner featuring Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde and with exactly three months before Tron: Legacy hits the big screen, if you’re not already excited then it’s time to catch up.

Just a few days ago Dave posted this new Tron banner and just now Disney sent us the next in the series, and it’s another winner showing Olivia Wilde equipped with her light-disc.

This follows a slew of images and trailers from Disney and each new peep into the electric attic gets us more excited. Click here to see all of our coverage.

To my knowledge, we’ve now had around 5 of these banners over the course of the last 5 months. Today, IGN have blessed us with the sixth which shows Garrett Hedlund wielding his light disc before shucking it at someone!

Tron: Legacy is directed by Joseph Kosinski and is the sequel to the 80s classic, Tron and as well as bringing Jeff Bridges back for the movie, it’s set to star Olivia Wilde, Michael Sheen, Garrett Hedlund, James Frain, Bruce Boxleitner, Amy Esterle, Serinda Swan and Beau Garrett.

It’s set for release 26th December in the UK and I, like many others, cannot wait!

Disney have released a brand new banner for the sequel to 1982 classic, Tron which made household names of Jeff Bridges and was directed by Steven Lisberger. This new movie is set for release this time next year and has a cast which, as well as Bridges contains Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain, Beau Garrett and Michael Sheen. This new banner goes along nicely with the first poster and image that HeyUGuys were first to release last week.

Hopefully you’ve seen the new posters for Disney’s Alice in Wonderland over the past couple of weeks (check them out in the related links below if not). They’ve all been beautifully thought out and really sell the new re-telling of the story that we know and love.

Well, today, the lovely people over at Disney (you know who you are!) have sent us this amazing banner which combines all three posters together to create an amazing panoramic banner. You can click the image above to view it in a size suitable for most monitors but if you’re feeling really high def today, you can download the full version below. I’m not sure by name who designed it or which group of people it was but I’ll try and find out and give them credit here.
