Ashley-Benson-Selena-Gomez-Vanessa-Hudgens-and-Rachel-Korine-in-Spring-BreakersLed by Vanessa Hudgens, James Franco, and Selena Gomez, Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers promises to be one of the most talked-about films of the year.

Korine’s latest feature debuted at Venice and then TIFF last year – you can read our review from Toronto here – and will soon be making its US premiere at SXSW next month. From there, it will head into theatres at the end of March, perfectly timed to arrive in the titular season.

We saw the brilliant first two trailers land last month. And now another new international trailer – expectedly red-band in nature – has debuted, giving us a great new look at the film.

“Brit, Candy, Cotty, and Faith have been best friends since grade school. They live together in a boring college dorm and are hungry for adventure. All they have to do is save enough money for spring break to get their shot at having some real fun. A serendipitous encounter with rapper “Alien” promises to provide the girls with all the thrill and excitement they could hope for. With the encouragement of their new friend, it soon becomes unclear how far the girls are willing to go to experience a spring break they will never forget.”

Spring Breakers forever.

Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine are all excellent as the young leading quartet, with Franco’s performance arguably one of the best of his career so far.

Korine is once more directing from his own script, with the renowned Skrillex working on the score alongside Cliff Martinez (Drive, Contagion).

Spring Breakers will be released in the US on 22nd March, before arriving in the UK on 5th April. If you’re looking forward to seeing Hudgens and Gomez break from type here, you definitely won’t be disappointed. Hudgens, especially, is brilliant here. For now, here’s the latest international trailer to set the mood.

And one final reminder: As you can imagine, this Spring Breakers trailer is not suitable for work. Enjoy.
