It’s about time I say. According to a recent report a new Splinter Cell Deal is in the works with Warner Bros and Paramount vying for the rights. The report from Deadline claims that despite talks with Warner, Paramount are the front-runners to produce the film.

Ubisfoft, the games creators will be “very involved” in the film making sure the screen adaptation remains faithful to the million selling game franchise.

Recently Ubisoft have invested heavily in movies with live action short films for both Assassin’s Creed and Ghost Recon: Future soldier, the later setting the games company back a cool $10 Million.

This is good timing also thanks to the fact that a new Splinter Cell game is in the works. Blacklist is the latest adventure for Covert Spy Sam Fisher, and looks set to be the biggest Splinter Cell Game yet. Take a look at the E3 announcement and gameplay trailers below.
