Regardless of whether they face off against Spider-Man in the planned Sinister Six movie or in another release further down the line, it’s important that the team isn’t TOO powerful.
That’s why it’s important that they include someone like Chameleon; a normal human with a power which is still extremely useful to the team. Smerdyakov Kravinoff was the first villain that Spidey faced off against, and uses a combination of masks and an image inducer to disguise himself for nefarious means.
With Oscorp playing a major role in The Amazing Spider-Man universe, this is a power set which could be used perfectly in the world of corporate espionage. Chameleon has also disguised himself as Peter Parker in the recent past, causing chaos in his life without realising that he’s actually Spider-Man!
