Although Dane DeHaan (Harry Osborn) looks set to play a version of the Green Goblin in next year’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, the real deal is his father Norman.

He may have been seen dying in the trailer for the sequel, but it seems likely that Chris Cooper will ultimately suit up in the planned third instalment of the franchise. Over the years, the Goblin hasn’t had much involvement with The Sinister Six, but did once lead a team which consisted of TWELVE bad guys all thirsty for Spidey’s blood!

In the Ultimate Universe however, he’s often led the group of villains in his quest to kill Peter Parker (even forcing him to join them at one point) and the tension between the Goblin and the rest of the team has often been fascinating to see. If Sony’s Cinematic Universe is heading in the direction we all expect, it seems fair to say that the Oscorp boss will be heading up this version of The Sinister Six.
