Focus Features have issued seven brand new character posters for their forthcoming ensemble drama Moonrise Kingdom.
The posters, each focusing on one (or in one case two) of the leads, offer us a closer look at the characters that will inhabit 1960’s New England, where the film is set.
Written and directed by Wes Anderson (The Royal Tenenbaums), Moonrise Kingdom centers on a pair of lovers (played by newcomers Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward) who flee their town, resulting in a missing person’s search.
Tilda Swinton, Bruce Willis, Jarded Gilman, Kara Hayward, Harvey Keitel, Frances McDormand, Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray star alongside Gilman and Hayward.
Moonrise Kingdom is scheduled to open the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival on May 16, with a full UK release following soon after on May 25.
