With The Fault In Our Stars, a young girl named Hazel Lancaster (Shailene Woodley) experiences life and love despite the emotional and physical toll of living with terminal cancer. The film is based on the eponymous book by author John Green, that has become a runaway hit in the young adult fiction genre.
Sam Trammell and Laura Dern play Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster – Hazel’s loving and devoted parents who live in fear at the idea of losing their only child to a disease for which there is no cure. We had the pleasure of sitting down with the actors to talk about everything from the film itself, Trammell’s fate on HBO’s True Blood, and Dern’s blessing to Jurassic World.
