Milla Jovovich reprises her role as Alice next month in Resident Evil: Retribution, the latest instalment of the incredibly successful horror-action franchise.

We caught a new featurette for the film earlier in the week, and now Sony have released another fantastic featurette, showing how the production shut down Moscow’s world-famous Red Square to make it look desolate.

“The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice, awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.”

Paul W.S. Anderson is back behind the camera, directing from his own script, with Jovovich joined by Sienna Guillory, Johann Urb, Boris Kodjoe, Li Bingbing, and a brilliant surprise return from Michelle Rodriguez, who starred (and seemingly died) in 2002’s first Resident Evil.

Resident Evil: Retribution will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on 14th September in the US, and will then head to our shores two weeks later on 28th September in the UK. I can’t wait; this is looking awesome.
