Cyborg

It was rumoured that Cyborg would make an appearance in Batman Vs. Superman, but it has now been confirmed that theatre actor Ray Fisher has been cast in the role after Warner Bros. and DC spent weeks testing actors with director Zack Snyder.

Apparently, the character won’t have a major role in this film, but it is expected that it will develop as time goes on and the studio develops more movies connected to the Justice League.

It would make sense then that this will serve as an origin story of sorts, In the comic books, Victor Stone becomes Cyborg after Darkseid invades the Earth and the young football player is caught in the crossfire. His father then uses his scientific knowledge in order to save him, merging his son with technology. Victor later joins the Justice League and has been a member ever since.

Fisher joins a cast which includes Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot and Amy Adams with Zack Snyder directing. The actor is best known for his work on Broadway, but he was also one of those testing for J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.

The untitled Batman Vs. Superman movie is set to be released on May 6th, 2016.
