Sylvester-Stallone-in-Grudge-Match

Sylvester Stallone’s life in Hollywood has had somewhat of a fairy tale quality, mirroring the rags-to-riches, going the distance world of his most famous creation and the character which put him on the road to international success, Rocky Balboa. Having now been a huge star in the business for over five decades, he’s still cranking out action films at the sprightly age of 67 (the third in the highly-lucrative ‘Expendables’ series is due for release in cinemas this summer).

UK fans now have the enviable opportunity to hear all about the actor’s illustrious career and his journey to success when he arrives in town to make his West End theatre debut (of sorts) in An Evening with Sylvester Stallone at the London Palladium on Saturday 11 January. Jonathan Ross will be chatting to the Rambo star, and a post-interview Q & A session with the audience will follow.

In the past, the London Palladium has played host to evenings with a number of huge showbiz stars from the US, including Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Bob Hope, and only last year, Hollywood legend Al Pacino took the stage to talk about his life and career to a rapt, sold-out crowd.

Tickets are still available for this event and we’ll also be attending, so look out for a transcription of what looks to be a tremendous(sly) entertaining evening, on the site next week.
