It’s no secret that we’re looking forward to the return of Ridley Scott in a few months’ time, with the director assembling one of the best casts of the year for The Counselor.
We saw a great first teaser trailer last month, raising our anticipation that much further for what could well become an Oscar contender a few months down the line. And now Fox have debuted a new teaser trailer, via EW, showing a little more footage to match the sultry look of the film that we saw from Penélope Cruz and Cameron Diaz in the latest images.
The film tells the story of a lawyer (Fassbender), who finds himself in over his head when he gets involved in drug trafficking.
Fassbender, Cruz, and Diaz star alongside the likes of Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt, Natalie Dormer, John Leguizamo, Goran Visnjic, and Rosie Perez, for what is sure to be one of the best ensembles we see this year.
Scott is directing from a script by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy (No Country for Old Men), who makes his debut here as a screenwriter.
The Counselor, known as The Counsellor here in the UK, will be released in the States on October 25th, before heading across the Atlantic on 15th November. I can’t wait.
