Parkland-PosterWith an all-star cast led by Zac Efron, Paul Giamatti, and Billy Bob Thornton, it’s no surprise that Peter Landesman’s Parkland has become one of the most anticipated films of the year.

The JFK assassination drama is set to debut out in Venice before heading to Toronto, cementing its status as a contender in the awards race so close on the horizon. And after the first poster and images landed online this time last week, Exclusive Media have now launched the first trailer, via Yahoo Movies.

PARKLAND recounts the dramatic true story of the chaotic events that occurred at Parkland Hospital in Dallas on the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22nd 1963.

Starring alongside Efron, Giamatti, and Thornton is an impressive ensemble, with the three joined by Tom Welling, James Badge Dale, Jackie Earle Haley, Colin Hanks, David Harbour, Marcia Gay Harden, Jeremy Strong, Ron Livingston, and Jacki Weaver.

Landesman is directing from his own script, making his debut as both director and writer, with Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman producing via Playtone alongside Bill Paxton and partners Guy East and Nigel Sinclair.

Parkland is due to be released in the US on September 20th, before arriving a little later in the UK on 8th November. Here’s the first trailer to whet the appetite.
