It was a case of Hello, yellow brick road in London tonight as Leicester Square hosted the UK premiere of Disney’s latest spin on a modern fairy tale, Oz The Great and Powerful.
Following very closely to the footsteps of Tim Burton’s Alice on Wonderland, a money spinner which gave Disney an incredible return despite its failings as a film, director Sam Raimi takes us all the way back before Dorothy, before the twister which swept her to Oz, to tell the tale of the man who would be The Great Oz himself.
James Franco leads the cast which includes Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Zach Braff, we spoke to Raimi, Weisz and Braff on the carpet tonight and those interviews are below.
As well as waxing lyrical about all things Oz Raimi also talks about post converting some of his old movies, working in 3D and where this movie sits in the Wizard of Oz world.
