Pierce-Brosnan-in-November-ManLegendary Bond actor Pierce Brosnan will soon be returning to the world of action-thrillers, taking the lead in Roger Donaldson’s November Man later this year.

The film has been a long-time passion project for Brosnan, and it’s nice to see he was finally able to get what he’s referred to as a ‘labour of love’ off the ground and shortly into cinemas. And now a fiery first look at Brosnan’s ex-CIA agent, Peter Devereaux, has landed online.

Peter Devereaux is an ex-CIA operative who has been brought back in on a very personal mission and finds himself pitted against his former protégé in a deadly game involving high level US Government officials and the Russian president-elect.

Olga Kurylenko takes the female lead, with Luke Bracey, Bill Smitrovich, Will Patton, Eliza Taylor, and Caterina Scorsone completing the ensemble.

Donaldson (The Bank Job) directs from a script co-written by Michael Finch (Predators) and Karl Gajdusek (Oblivion), based on Bill Granger’s novel, There Are No Spies, from his series of bestselling espionage novels.

No word yet on when we can expect the film to arrive in cinemas, but November naturally wouldn’t be out of the question. It could work as nice counter-programming opposite the awards contenders at the end of the year.
