Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, the co-writers of the ever-popular The Hangover, are making their feature directorial debuts this year with 21 and Over.
Due to hit theatres this spring, we saw the first trailer for the comedy late last year. And with less than two months before it arrives in the US, Apple have debuted the second trailer to give us another great look at the film.
“Straight-A college student Jeff Chang has always done what’s expected of him. But when his two best friends Casey and Miller surprise him with a visit for his 21st birthday, he decides to do the unexpected for a change, even though his critical medical school interview is early the next morning. What was supposed to be one beer becomes one night of chaos, over indulgence and utter debauchery in this outrageous comedy.”
Rising young star Miles Teller (Rabbit Hole, Project X) is joined by Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect), Justin Chon (Twilight), and Sarah Wright (Parks and Recreation).
Lucas and Moore are directing from their own script, with Oscar-nominated duo, David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman (The Fighter, Monk) producing.
Given the success of The Hangover franchise in recent years, and the more recent success of 2012’s Project X (which took $100m. at the box office, and became the most pirated film of last year), there’s a lot of potential for Lucas and Moore’s debut to be the next big success story in the genre.
21 & Over will be released in the US on 1st March, with its UK release date now set for 29th March. For now, here’s the latest trailer to get you in the mood. Enjoy.
