Warm BodiesWarm Bodies looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. Sure, we have plenty of zombie-centric stuff out there (World War Z, TV’s Walking Dead) and there have been plentiful light-hearted takes on the shuffling undead too (Shaun, Zombieland), but if the trailers are anything to go by (and they seldom are these days) this has a tone and approach all its own.

You can catch up on the trailers for Warm Bodies here, along with our previous posts on the other publicity malarkey doing the rounds and you should – trying to balance genuine zombie threat with laughs and perhaps some heartfelt romance is no mean feat.

John Malkovich seems to be enjoying himself and Nicholas Hoult has been showing real charisma and presence since growing up from About A Boy.

IMP (who else?) have the latest poster, which we’ve lovingly embedded below. Ain’t it sweet, in a non-descript, photo-shopped kinda way?

Warm Bodies is out on 1st February 2013 and a week later in the UK. Could make an ace Valentine’s double bill with Die Hard 5.

Dave has been writing for HeyUGuys since mid-2010 and has found them to be the most intelligent, friendly, erudite and insightful bunch of film fans you could hope to work with. He's gone from ham-fisted attempts at writing the news to interviewing Lawrence Bender, Renny Harlin and Julian Glover, to writing articles about things he loves that people have actually read. He has fairly broad tastes as far as films are concerned, though given the choice he's likely to go for Con Air over Battleship Potemkin most days. He's pretty sure that 2001: A Space Odyssey is the most overrated mess in cinematic history.
