Sony’s upcoming animated family comedy, Hotel Transylvania, features an impressive array of comedy talents lending their voice to the film – Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi, Kevin James, and Jon Lovitz, to name but a few.
The first full-length trailer debuted earlier this week, and whilst the original teaser trailer that leaked in Russian earlier this year felt a little more entertaining (despite being unable to understand a word), I can see the film hitting the family demographic well later this year.
Yahoo Movies have debuted two new images from the film, giving us a look at Sandler’s Dracula and daughter Mavis (Gomez).
“Welcome to the Hotel Transylvania, Dracula’s (Adam Sandler) lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up, free to be the monsters they are without humans to bother them. On one special weekend, Dracula has invited some of the world’s most famous monsters – Frankenstein and his bride, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, a family of werewolves, and more – to celebrate his daughter Mavis’s 118th birthday. For Drac, catering to all of these legendary monsters is no problem – but his world could come crashing down when one ordinary guy stumbles on the hotel and takes a shine to Mavis.”
Genndy Tartakovsky, creator/director of Samurai Jack and Dexter’s Lab, is behind the helm for this, with David Spade, Fran Drescher, Molly Shannon, and Cee-Lo Green filling out the voice cast nicely.
(And in case you missed it, you can – and should – watch the brilliant first trailer for Samberg’s upcoming movie, Celeste and Jesse Forever, which debuted this week too.)
Hotel Transylvania will be released in 3D on 21st September in the US, and then a few weeks later on 12th October here in the UK. As usual with these new images, you can click to enlarge. (Doesn’t the bat look adorable?)
