New Battleship Trailer Proves it is the Ultimate Movie Mash-up

Ok, so this new trailer for Peter Berg’s Battleship sets the scene pretty clear..

City destroying metal whirwind (Transformers) + Sexy women in love with Square-Jaw who works for the Overprotective Father (Armageddon) + Liam Neeson as he was in Taken (Taken) = Battleship.

I have no problem with any of this as long as the final film is watchable, and by that I mean is more than just the hellish bastard offspring of a dozen rusty blockbusters and a battered boardgame box. We have until the 11th of April to wait in beleaguered anticipation.
