Jack Reacher will be hitting theatres in less than a month, with its holiday-primed release set for another big box office take, following in the footsteps of Cruise’s last blockbuster outing in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.
With the release only weeks away, Paramount have been gearing up their campaign with a slew of TV spots this month, and have now debuted the latest 60-second spot, featuring plenty of action, making no mistake to let us know that this is going to be all Cruise, all out, all the time.
“When a gunman takes five lives with six shots, all evidence points to the suspect in custody. On interrogation, the suspect offers up a single note: “Get Jack Reacher!” So begins an extraordinary chase for the truth, pitting Jack Reacher against an unexpected enemy, with a skill for violence and a secret to keep.”
Starring alongside Cruise will be an excellent cast, headed up by Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins, David Oyelowo, Robert Duvall, and Werner Herzog.
Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) is directing from his own script, having adapted the original novel, One Shot, by Lee Child.
Jack Reacher will be hitting US theatres on 21st December, just in time for Christmas, and will arrive in the UK on 26th December, for a Boxing Day release, giving it the same slot as M:I4 had last year in both territories. For now, here’s the latest TV spot to whet your appetites. Enjoy.
