Mark Wahlberg (Date Night) is in advanced talks to star in Seth MacFarlane’s feature film debut, an R-rated comedy titled Ted.
Wahlberg would play an average guy who’s normal except for the childhood wish he made that his teddy bear could come to life – and it did.
MacFarlane penned the script with his Family Guy colleagues Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. He will also provide the voice of the CG-generated, foul-mouthed teddy bear.
Ted is a $65 million Media Rights Capital production and will be distributed by Universal in 2012.
