We are just days away from the release of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, and things couldn’t be looking better for the blockbuster.

Snyder is set to launch a new franchise with the Superman reboot, with all things pointing to a new DC Cinematic Universe beginning if Man of Steel is the success we’re expecting.

With just a few days on the clock, Warner Bros. have released two awesome new TV spots, following on nicely from the awesome final trailer we saw last week.

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

Henry Cavill takes centre stage as Superman himself. And he stars alongside a fantastic cast, led by Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Richard Schiff, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, and Laurence Fishburne.

Snyder is directing from a script penned by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight Trilogy), who co-wrote the story with Christopher Nolan.

I love that idea of Jor-El telling Kal-El to keep testing his limits. You’d better believe that if things go as we expect them to at the box office, Man of Steel 2 is going to raise the stakes that much higher.

Man of Steel will be released in 2D, 3D, IMAX, and IMAX 3D this Friday, June 14th, in the US and UK. This is going to be epic. Mind-blowingly epic.
