Man-of-Steel-Character-Poster-Kal-ElWe’re two and a half weeks out from the release of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, and the anticipation is palpable, folks. The film has the potential to launch an awesome new franchise for Warner Bros. with the long-awaited DC Cinematic Universe. And that is definitely something to get excited about.

Following on from the two new TV spots the studio recently released, featuring some rather awesome new footage, the latest TV spot has landed online, giving us a look at Zod speaking out in defence of his actions.

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

Henry Cavill is front and centre as the Man of Steel himself. And he’s joined by a terrific cast, led by Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Richard Schiff, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, and Laurence Fishburne.

Snyder is directing from a script penned by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight Trilogy), who co-wrote the story with Christopher Nolan.

Man of Steel will be released in 2D, 3D, IMAX, and IMAX 3D on June 14th in the US and UK. Just two and a half weeks. This is going to be immense.
