Magnet Acquire Hobo With A Shotgun

Magnet Releasing have acquired the US distribution rights to Hobo With a Shotgun.

Directed by Jason Eisener, Hobo With a Shotgun was originally created as a fake trailer for Grindhouse, but was then expanded into a full-length feature film, much like Robert Rodriguez’ Machete.

Hobo With a Shotgun stars Rutger Hauer as a homeless man who becomes a violent, shotgun-wielding vigilante upon entering a crime-ridden city.

After it’s initial premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, Magnet Releasing will give Hobo With a Shotgun a full US theatrical release later in 2011.

A UK release date has not yet been revealed.
