Lovelace-UK-Quad-PosterComing off the back of a fantastic performance in Les Misérables, Amanda Seyfried headed to Sundance at the start of the year starring in the titular role in Lovelace.

The film premiered to positive early reviews – you can read our review here – and with Seyfried joined by an all-star cast, it’s definitely one to watch this summer.

With just a few weeks separating us from its big screen arrival, both its US one-sheet and its UK quad poster have been released, and we’re expecting the first trailer to drop next week.

In 1972—long before the Internet porn explosion of today—Deep Throat became a cultural phenomenon. As the first pornographic feature film to be embraced by mainstream audiences, Deep Throat took a multitude of risks: it boasted a plot, humor, and an unknown and unlikely star named Linda Lovelace.

Lovelace tells the story behind the phenomenon. Fleeing her strict religious family, Linda Boreman falls for charismatic hustler Chuck Traynor, who launches her pornography career. Reborn as “Linda Lovelace,” the charming girl next door skyrockets to international sensation with her uncanny capacity for fellatio. Fully inhabiting this new identity, Linda becomes a spokesperson for sexual freedom and hedonism. But six years later, she reveals a far more sinister narrative—the dark secrets of her own life story.

Seyfried stars as Linda Boreman (a.k.a. Linda Lovelace) opposite Peter Sarsgaard as Chuck Traynor. And the two are joined by Hank Azaria, Adam Brody, James Franco, Sharon Stone, Wes Bentley, Bobby Cannavale, Debi Mazar, Robert Patrick, Chris Noth, Eric Roberts, Chloë Sevigny, and Juno Temple.

Co-directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (Howl) are behind the camera, with Andy Bellin (Trust) penning the script.

Seyfried, Epstein, and Friedman clearly enjoyed their time working together, with the trio set to reunite for The Girl Who Conned the Ivy League, and reunions like these are always a good sign.

Lovelace will begin its limited release in the US on August 9th, ahead of its UK release date two weeks later on 23rd August. For now, here are the two new posters, which you can click through to enlarge.
