What do you get when you combine the sensibilities of Rang De Basanti’s producers, the director of Rock On and the novelist Chatan Bhagat known mostly for 3 Idiots (although apparently he wasn’t happy with some aspects of the adaptation but kept quite after it became the biggest success in Indian history)?
Did you guess: Shirtless male bonding, dancing in the streets, running around like crazy and eventually screaming at the sky with your arms open wide? AKA an overdose of desi “Bro”-dom!
And this is exactly what the poster and trailer of Kai Po Che gives us.
Accompanied by a soundtrack by Amit Trivedi, adapted from Chetan Bhagat’s novel “The 3 Mistakes of My Life”, Kai Po Che (meaning a triumphant yell in Gujarati) is an unforgettable ode to friendship and the magical moments one shares with one’s closest pals.
It would be great to see what Abhishek Kapoor is up to after a 4 year hiatus from the directing chair and there is quite a bit of buzz for newcomer Sushant Singh Rajput, I do hope we get to see something else that the formula already set by movies like Dil Chahta Hai.
