I don’t really get American Football but I do understand that the Superbowl is kind of a big deal, not least for movie fans who get to see all the summer blockbusters teased and pointed in their general direction.
Here’s Disney Next Big Thing – John Carter, of Mars don’t you know? This is a pretty nifty spot for the film which sees the mighty Andrew Stanton doing the whole ‘live action’ thing. And he’s great so it’s bound to be pretty good right?
The cast is certainly large and has Taylor Kitsch leading Lynn Collins, Samantha Morton , Mark Strong, Ciaran Hinds, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Daryl Sabara, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston, Thomas Hayden Church, Willem Dafoe. Blimey.

The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands.
