Robert Rodriguez will be returning us to the world of noir next autumn with Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, the sequel/prequel adaptation of Frank Miller’s original comics.
Much of the original cast are set and expected to reprise their roles from the highly successful first film, and now THR report that two more have signed on in the form of Jaime King (The Spirit, Hart of Dixie) and Jamie Chung (The Hangover Part II, Sucker Punch).
King will be reprising her role as Goldie’s twin sister, Wendy, the blonde-haired twin prostitutes in charge of Old Town.
Chung will be stepping in to play Miho, the katana-wielding assassin first played by Devon Aoki in the original, who plays a key role in locating the femme fatale, Ava.
Clive Owen, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Michael Madsen, and Mickey Rourke are all set to reprise their roles from the original film, with Rodriguez and Miller co-writing and -directing.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is set for release on 4th October, 2013, a date which can’t come fast enough. Shooting is already underway on soundstages in Austin, but there are still some major roles that need to be filled, so here’s to hoping we’ll have some more great news to bring you very soon.
