Terminator

Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor is assembling an extremely impressive cast for his upcoming contribution to the Terminator franchise, Terminator: Genesis. Arnold Schwarzenegger will return as the titular cyborg, while Game Of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke will play Sarah Connor and Zero Dark Thirty’s Jason Clarke has signed on as her son, John Connor.

That leaves just the character of Kyle Reese still to be cast as one of the leads, and Deadline report that Paramount Pictures and Skydance are down to two actors: Jai Courtney (Jack Reacher) and Boyd Holbrook (The Host). It’s believed that the latter is the favourite as of right now, but who will win the role originated by Michael Biehn in the James Cameron-directed original remains to be seen.

Little is known about the plot of the movie, although the site does add that, “it figures to span at least two movies that will end the story of Skynet’s battle with the resistance that began with Cameron’s two films with two more that followed.” We can expect plenty of time-travel shenanigans then! Terminator: Genesis is currently slated for a July 1st, 2015 release.

Which of these actors would you most like to see play Kyle Reese?
